Following
- Adorkable : Despite being an antagonist, Rocki is actually quite adorable with her ineffectual ways to capture Peggy due to strong emphasis on her more over the top moments. The cute bond she has with her pet duck Tiger also adds to this. She keeps this after pulling a Heel–Face Turn, where she shows quite the geeky enthusiasm at wanting to embrace both human life and her magic more.
- Awesome Music: With the Math Club returning to do music, we get good songs to go with it. "A Touch Of Magic", "Believe" , "You've Got The Magic Touch", and "Center Stage" are all quite fun to listen to.
- Fandom Rivalry: There's a bit of a rivalry between fans of Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures and fans of the classic Barbie movies that took on more fantasy based stories. Those who like the more fantasy based stories feel like it's good to get a Barbie show that isn't afraid of Revisiting the Roots and put out something worthy of capturing that classic, elegant feel. Those who favor the first series though tend to feel like this show focuses more on spectacle over earnest character relationships. Keeping up with this, fans of the first series also feel that, despite going for heavy fantasy elements, this series is still trying to filter itself through the writing style of the first show without seeing why it worked there in the first place.
- Just Here for Godzilla: In a similar vein to Barbie: It Takes Two, most fans tend to stick around for the songs, the appearance of characters from the first show, and in the case of this series Rocki and Leo's character development. For the latter, it's mainly from how fans feel that they're the only characters to go through substantial character development.
- Romantic Plot Tumor: Many feel that Barbie and Ken's romance arc from Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures is getting tired with how it becomes more of a focal point to Ken's character, and tends to distract from the other stories. It also doesn't help that this never gets resolved since, after "Lizard Liftoff", the romance arc is never brought up again.
- Salvaged Story: Many feel that Brooklyn's love of acting in Barbie: It Takes Two was wasted due to not being given enough, thus making her dilemma in the final two episodes, where she has to choose between her love of acting and her love of music , feel hollow. This series makes it more of a focus with a few episodes during the second half of the series giving her love of acting more prominence due to being the subplot of a few episodes close together.
- Strangled by the Red String: Many feel that Daisy crushing on Ji Soo in the last episode comes out of nowhere given how they were never shown interacting with each other before hand.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
- "Careful What You Wish For" has Rafa make his only appearance in the series, and it's in a dream. What's he up after the events of Barbie: It Takes Two? Is he still the girls' manager? Is he pursuing his own goals? We never know since nothing about this appearance is brought up in later episodes.
- Most of Barbie's female friends from back home other than Teresa don't get much to do. Sure, they keep her secret about the magical adventure , but they don't get to take part in the adventure.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: "Secret Victory" has Malibu and Brooklyn's parents find out about their magical adventures. They promise to help them out, but because they kept this a secret from them, they'll be grounded after the adventure is over. It seems like we would finally get to see them work towards a greater adventure. However, Brooklyn's parents, Simone and Kelvin, don't appear again until the final episode, where this is never brought up. Malibu's parents, George and Margaret, get turned into babies in "Baby Steps", but otherwise are not involved in the adventure, and likewise aren't seen again until the series finale.
